The temperatures in the summer months can reach highs of 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures of the extreme call for shorts, tank tops, and sandals. The hot days are a perfect excuse for walking around in revealing clothing, but not in the fall, winter, and half of the spring months, there is no excuse for the exposing of too much skin.
The highs for winter and fall days only get around 60 degrees. This is obviously much colder. Why must women and men alike dress in such an inappropriate matter? Most can look around school on a normal December day and discover many people wearing far too short of shorts, and showing too much cleavage for the temperature.
The question is why? After asking girls around campus, they responded say that they look cute. After finding out their side, I asked many bystanders what their opinion on the outfit was. Most responded with, “Aren’t they cold?” Or they would say nasty things about them and their attire. The point is, nobody really cares entirely about how cute someone may look, when it is quite apparent that they are suffering in the freezing cold.
Take the cold months off from the shorts and tank tops and break out the pants and hoodies. In reality, it is completely possible to look just as cute in jeans and a t-shirt as it is to wear more revealing articles. Why not look cute, while also feeling good and comfortable?
To wrap this up, I am going to say that in the cold months, you have the right to actually wear clothing, as in the summer it is usually impossible to stay covered up because of the heat.
