Rose Red was an allegedly haunted mansion in Washington that was built in 1906.It was built as a wedding gift by a wealthy man named John Rimbauer for his beloved wife named Ellen Rimbauer. The mansion had been haunted from birth because as Rose Red was being built several of workers have died from falling and things being dropped on them.Later when the mansion was fully built a few years later Ellen and her husband started to realize that there was something oddly strange about the mansion.People started coming out of the walls at night. They started to realize that Rose Red was haunted by a supernatural entity that was around during the time the mansion was being built.Later on in the story all of Ellen’s maids started to disappear in the mansion one by one. Sukeena one of Ellen’s maids gets consumed by the mansion just two years before Ellen does.Later on Ellen becomes consumed and same goes for John. After every one in the mansion is consumed by Rose Red itself the mansion lies abandoned covered by trees and plants have overgrown all over it.

96 years later a college Professor named Joyce Reardon and her boyfriend, Steve Rimbaeur, lead a group of physics in an attempt to prove the existence of of paranormal activity in a mansion owned by the Rimbauer family known as ROSE RED. She takes a professional group of psychics plus a autistic girl who has psychic powers and can connect with the mansion to investigate the disappearances of the people who vanished into the darkness in the mansion and investigate what is making them disappear. They soon realize that they’re not just walking into historic mansion that was built in the 1900’s but they are also walking into a death trap.Once they arrive to the mansion they all get out and look at the mansion.As they are all walking into the mansion one of them spots a ghostly shadow figure watching them through the window  and simply walk away as they enter the allegedly haunted mansion.Later on in the story they start to investigate and they split up into pairs of two.In the middle of the night victor gets dragged into the cold and disappears in the night.one by one as the search goes on for answers they disappear and at the beginning of the movie  11 people went in and only 5 came out so the rest either died or disappeared and in the end Dr. Joyce got what she wanted. She wanted to prove that their was paranormal in the mansion but in the end Steve, Emery, Rachel and Annie all made it out alive but Joyce was too late. She went back in to the haunted mansion while the mansion was widely awake and the spirits were out and the lights were flashing and their was strange noises and the mansion was widely in rage  and Joyce grabbed her equipment and she tried to make a run for it.while the others escaped she was left behind and all the doors slammed shut and all 26 ghosts of the people who have disappeared at rose red  started to surround Joyce and reached out for her leaving her no room to escape and they surrounded her and killed her and so she was being welcomed home as a new part of the mansion and the mansion consumed her just like the rest and the mansion started to tear itself apart the roof was coming in, boulders were smashing things Annie was destroying the mansion with her psychic powers. Towards the end the survivors were packing up their things and heading home the mansion was still standing and up on the tower was the spirits of Pam and Joyce watching them as they left and from their on the spirits lived in peace and harmony and I don’t think that place ever got sold so that place was left abandoned and like I said before the spirits got to REST IN PEACE.
