Trump’s impeachment trial has now moved into the phase in the Senate, where Democrat and Republican senators will vote on whether or not they will convict Donald Trump based on the impeachment charges.
For the next two days, in eight-hour sessions, Senators will be able to ask questions of both sides by submitting a form with the question on it to Chief Justice John Roberts. After the two days are completed, the Senators will vote on whether or not the Senate should find more witnesses and documents.
If they vote to find more witnesses, the questioning will continue. However, if they decide they are satisfied with the information they have, the trial will likely lead to a quick acquittal of Donald Trump and the trial will end.
