On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Yearbook and the Orange R went to Fall Media Day, at the University of Oregon, where they collaborated with other schools from across the state and competed in on-site contests. They also competed in the “Best of the West” contest, where they submitted their most recent publications in the following categories: Print Newspaper, News Website, Broadcast, Yearbook and more. This year, the Orange R entered the broadcast category for the first time ever and walked away with a third place win! Thanks to the University of Oregon and the Oregon Journalism Education Association, also known as OJEA, for putting on this event.
