Our school, Roseburg High School, had its first football game of the season on Friday, Sept, 6. It had an exciting kick off and a wonderful tailgate, sponsored by Coke and Young Life, with Coke providing the drinks and Young Life providing the pizza. This is the norm for all of this football season, so be sure to come to tailgate, it’s a lot of fun!
The first football game theme was “orange out.” Lots of people came and showed P.R.I.D.E by wearing orange while supporting and cheering for our team! The entire student section was filled with RHS students; not only students attended but parents and other members of the community. It was an amazing beginning of the year.
Roseburg High School was playing against Gresham High School on Friday, Sept, 6. Roseburg won by a landslide, 41 points to Gresham’s 7. On Friday, September 13 we hosted Churchill and lost by 24 points (6-30). Good job to all teams so far. Let’s keep up this streak of showing up and representing our school to the best of our ability, showing examples of Positivity, Respect, Involvement, Determination and Encouraging each other, RHS!
