Makeup on the rise

Makeup is changing, as it always has through time. From powdered faces to the latest makeup challenge, makeup has evolved. One of these changes is the mascara industry.

Many people are switching from the traditional tube of mascara to more of a semi-permanent lash extension. Even false lashes are becoming more popular. According to Parija Kavilanz’s article “The beauty industry is bigger than ever, but mascara is struggling,” the false eyelash industry has “surged 82% since 2016 to bring in $313 million in annual sales in 2019.”

Of course, many different makeup trends have changed over the years, for instance, no one actually sees anyone in a white wig at a ball, but who knows how else the makeup industry will change.
