Shalena Lewis has been a hard working teacher for 8 years. Shalena has worked at RHS for about 2 years now. She graduated from “A school” (Her words). She was a sub for Fremont Middle School before she became a teacher at RHS. She originally had no interest in teaching, she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, and she’s currently completing her Masters degree, but during her last year, a friend of hers asked her to tutor history students and she accepted, and ended up loving teaching. Shalena had a professor in college who motivated her to become a great teacher. Shalena is sometimes hard on her students, but she genuinely cares about them and wants the best for them, that’s why she’s so hard on them. 

Shalena has other activities at home other than teaching. One of her hobbies she said were “Surviving my own children Kidding, kinda.” She likes to sit on the back porch a lot and hang out all day relaxing. She sits by the bonfire when it’s fall/winter.
