There is a new grocery store in town. WinCo, on Stewart Parkway, is officially open! It is located where the former Kmart stood. That building has now been demolished and replaced with WinCo. The opening of the store has received mixed reviews from several people, including Timothy Cossey who said, “It’s like Safeway and Costco were mixed together with portions and sizes just like Costco, but it’s a lot more organized and clean like a Safeway.” A recent hire to the store, Michael Wilson, had this to say: “The workplace is nice. Much less toxic than my last job, and the pay is as much for a position job and I recommend only doing the job with a reduced schedule for fulltime.” It is important to know that WinCo does not take credit cards, but cash, checks or debit cards are all welcome. WinCo is employee-owned, which is why it is employee-friendly. It is also open 24 hours a day, so check it out.
