The Roseburg Public Library is a great place to read and hang with friends. There are a wide variety of books there for different genres and age groups. People don’t need to pay to read their books or even take them home. However, if they do check out a book, patrons need to remember to bring them back or they will have to pay a fine. Some students go to the library after school. Jeshurun Kumar, one of the robotics kids, said “In robotics I got to teach kids how to make airplane shooters!” Jeshurun doesn’t go to the library much, but when he does, he “has a lot of fun.” Nathan Kincaid, a student at RHS, said “There are a lot of books and it’s a very peaceful place to study.” Many others have similar views on the library, enjoying its quiet spaces and activities. It is a popular space that hosts many programs throughout the year. Go to https://www.cityofroseburg. org/departments/library to learn more.
